Costa Del Sol
The Costa del Sol runs from the Costa Tropical south of Granada to the tip of Tarifa past Gibraltar. With its sandy beaches, warm clear sea, year-round sunshine, culture and range of sporting activities there is something to please everyone.
Golfing at the Costa del Sol is very popular. There are many courses to choose from, most golf courses require you to have a handicap certificate. You will need to book tee-times in advance between January-May and September-October.
Other popular leisure activities include include scuba diving at Nerja, tennis and water skiing in Marbella and skiing just 31km from Granada.
The Costa del Sol, as well as being famous for its golden sands, has many cultural sights which should be explored including the beautiful cities of Córdoba, Granada and Seville. Here you will be able to discover some of Spains favourite past-times including bullfighting, flamenco and sherry as well as discovering the history of the region.

Costa Blanca
The Costa Blanca is also know as the 'White Coast'.
The range of activities and places to see on the Costa Blanca should suit almost anyone. Activities including watersports, tennis, golf, rock climbing, boat trips, theme parks and other fun attractions are all available for those who want some excitement, while the towns and villages of 'Old Spain' are all within easy reach by car if you want to escape the hussle of everyday life.
Local festivals are common in this region, a few not to miss are Denia's Santisima Sangre fiesta in July, 'Virgin of the Snows' on 5-6 August in Calpe and Benidorm's big featival every November.
The Costa Blanca is the home of Lladro, the manufacturers of the famous figurines, the ornaments make the perfect gift or souvenir. Markets are always fun, most of which take place weekly between 8.30am and about 2pm where you can pick up your weekly groceries as well as lace tablecloths, shawls and crochet work, basket work and pottery depending on which market you choose to visit.

Costa Almeria
At the Costa Almeria you can still find the odd deserted beach along its coastline.
For film buffs, the desert areas of the Campo de Tabernas with its Wild West landscapes is home to a thriving film industry. Stop by - maybe you will see a film being made!
Cabo de Gata-Nijar, with its many volcanic formations, along with many beautiful towns and villages is a lovely place to visit.
The cathedral at Almería, the capital of the region, is well worth a visit. Almería has lots of tapas bars and pubs and nightclubs if you fancy going somewhere a bit busier.
Make sure you don't miss the Almeria Fair which is held in the last two weeks in August.
